It is essential that the new buildings are sited well within the surrounding environment and the way in which we deal with the boundaries is a huge part of this. Native trees and hedging such as Viburnum, Hawthorn, Holly, Dog Rose and Mountain Ash will be unterplanted by seasonal bulbs ensuring the boundaries blur into the countryside. The north facing boundary will benefit from some additional windbreak trees. The boundaries that meet the existing homes will be carefully composed of screening tress and large shrubs that provide privacy for the houses, screen the care village, reduce noise and improve security without casting dark shade on the neighbouring gardens. It is really important that the boundary is aesthetically pleasing from the existing homes as well as from the care village.
